Hello fellow adventurers! Grab a seat and a cup of coffee while I share my story.
Who am I? Well, you can say I am a bit like a hobbit ~ always looking for my next adventure and next meal. And along the way, tending to get in a bit of mischief!
I grew up in a family of adventurers. Most summers, my parents would take my brother and me on epic road trips throughout the Eastern and Central US. Par for the course, dad was the driver and I was his trusty sidekick, the navigator with the good ol’ paper maps. Off we would go on journeys that led us through the winding mountain roads of Tennessee and North Carolina, the historical sites of Philadelphia and Boston, the natural wonders of Mammoth Cave and Niagara Falls, and hundreds of other magnificent places. And no adventure is complete without food! The restaurants are long gone but not the memories of the delicious blueberry pie at the Quarterdeck Cafe in Bar Harbour (Maine) and the scrumptious seafood at the Weathervane Cafe in Plymouth (Massachusetts).
The family vacations may now be memories but the love of travel instilled by my parents continues to burn strongly. After college, I took two more epic road trips with dad and mom and there was also a wonderful mother-daughter trip to New York City. In terms of international travel, I took to the skies in 2010 and fulfilled a dream by visiting Egypt. I later returned in 2018 and spent two weeks touring the country (I have a strong passion for Ancient Egyptian history). And in 2024, I had the opportunity to visit Europe for the first time!
Events from the past few years have taught me that time is precious and one needs to seize the day and enjoy the present. Between that lesson and my love of travel, I am now on a mission to conquer the world and check-off those bucket list destinations! 🌍✈️🧳
My adventures have taken me to 20 states, Washington D.C., numerous cities across my home state of Florida, and 6 countries.
The map below shows the places I have visited in the US and abroad. Clicking on the blue markers will show the name of the location, a picture, address, and lots more. Sometimes, you really have to zoom in because a marker may be hiding behind another one!
Hope you enjoy your visit at Wandering the World Without Worries!
