When planning my trip to Denver, I saw several travel guides and Facebook groups mention the Mission Ballroom as one of the city’s best music venues. To my surprise, one of my favorite singers, Gregory Alan Isakov, was going to be performing when I was in Denver!! He is an indie/folk-rock musician whose music I really love, so I purchased a ticket not to miss the opportunity to see him in concert.
Visiting the Mission Ballroom

The Mission Ballroom is located in the River North Art District (RINO) just north of downtown Denver. The venue has on-site parking, but it can easily be accessed via public transportation and ride-share service.
I used Uber for the evening of the concert, and it was a mixed experience. There is a designated ride-share drop-off point near the venue which is easy to locate. The pick-up situation was a bit confusing. The website states there is a ride-share lot at the corner of 39th and Wynkoop, about three blocks from the venue, yet I could not locate it. I eventually just stood in a corner and, from there, requested an Uber.
The Mission Ballroom’s arena is shaped like a horseshoe with a central general admission area and two balconies. The general admission area has two sections: towards the front, it is standing room only, and towards the back and on the sides, there is unassigned seating. The two balconies are towards the front, one on each side of the venue, and offer reserved seating. Each balcony has its own bar and restroom. For this concert, I opted for the balcony, as I prefer reserved seating. The balcony seats were comfortable and had a good view of the stage. It was also great having your own bathroom without long lines.
Based on my experience, I would recommend the Mission Ballroom as a great venue to attend a concert. The staff was very efficient when scanning tickets and checking bags. The merch section was well organized. The bathrooms were really clean. And the acoustics were great!

Mission Ballroom does provide accessible seating in several sections of the venue. Tickets can be purchased online or via the box office.

The venue provides coat check services for coats, purses, bags, and merchandise for a small fee.
